Toys

Sam Smith started making toys for small galleries in London in the 1930s. These wooden toys captured moments of everyday life filled with interesting characters and a pinch of humour. Sam initially made toys for children, but as his interest and success developed his artworks became more complex and sophisticated objects described as sculpture toys for grown-ups.
